Since picking up my 2012 BMW 328i I have not been able to get my contacts to download from my iPhone 6 (8.2) into the Nav system. The phone is paired using Bluetooth, I can make calls, display recent calls, but the contacts will not download.

The other problem is when I manually add contacts into the iDrive system, and the car is turned off and back on, the contacts get lost.

I'm having the same problem along with issues with my phone dropping sound via USB, it just cuts off and i have to go back into media and select the phone again. It also rarely displays the correct song and album art on the display. went to bmw dealer a week ago and the SA was not very helpful gave me the usual "we have to bring it in to see and it's a $150 diag fee..."

I had this problem too, and apparently if any of your contacts have an image or "modicon?" tied to it the car wont up load any of the contacts from your phone. I hope this helps.

I can't believe it. That was exactly the problem. I had 1 contact with an image after the name, and I guess it was preventing the contacts from downloading.

I even went to the dealership this morning and the BMW Genius tried everything with the same results using my iphone.
