F22 M Performance front splitter fitting?

Hi everyone newbie here from sunny Scotland. Im picking up my M235i this weekend and ive got an M performance front splitter to fit but no fitting guide. Does anyone have one or some photos of the fitting? Looks pretty straight forward apart from the 1 meter bit of soft foam cord!!! No idea what its for.

I picked up the M Performance splitter for my car too. It also came with the long soft foam cord, but I couldn't figure out what it was for or where to install it. I had the splitter painted to match the body color and installed it without the cord. So far I haven't run into any adverse issues due to the missing cord.

Here are some before and after splitter pictures.

I believe your talking about the masking string included with the kit to allow you various option of customisation should you wish to paint specific elements only
