HELP! Map update worked but now I'm in the ocean

So I am stationed here in Germany driving a 2015 that had US maps loaded from the dealer. Yesterday I updated to the Europe 2015-2 Next maps because I will be here for awhile longer and want to use the nav.

The map update went fine using the downloaded map and the install code I generated from my fsc. After the update finished everything was fine and I could see myself in the proper location where I was working on the car. So I park the car and go inside for an hour and when I came back out to leave I'm am in THE OCEAN!!! I zoomed out and it is showing my car in the middle of the ocean.

Does anyone know what I should try to fix this???

Funny. That just happened to me today as well.

However, I updated mine a few months ago. I still had the USB with the map on it in my car, which I only removed today. That's when it happened with the gps telling me I was in the middle of the ocean.

It only happened once though. All seems fine so far.

Further update

I went into the hidden menu today and it shows no satellite fixes and my location in the ocean is actually the north pole because it is all blank i guess.

Further Update.

I was able to get it working today by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Once everything reinitialized and I began driving it started to pick up the satellites and populated my correct location. Hope this helps someone in the future because I was pretty nervous I really screwed something up.
