Anyone put in a 335i/xi short shift kit?
If so, which one & where'd you get it? Was it worth it? How easy are they to install?
On a semi-related note, has anyone done the CDV modification or delete? If so, how much of an improvement was it? |

I knew one member who attempted the ssk for the xi, but not sure if he succeeded. I know they was more labor involved with the xi over the i because of the xDrive.
With regards to the CDV. Just do it. It's easy to do, cheap, and makes a world of difference.

just saw the oem one ssk this weekend at a meet on oct1285's e90. he had the entire kit which came with a nice weighted knob and alacantra boot. i plan on ordering just the shaft since i already have the msport shifter/boot.
regarding the cdv; i would definitely pick one up. i am using the zeck modified cdv and its night and day difference especially between 1st/2nd. its dirt cheap and fairly easy to install.

Get the UUC Motorwerks shortshifter. Simply the best I ever had. They are a litle pricey at about $350,,,, but it is worth every single penny!

$183 OEM vs. $350 UUC. this seems like a no brainer to me.. but then again, i am a fan of the oem look, fit and finish. the UUC shifter also looks out of place in the e90 interior imo.

you can use the stock shifter with the UUS,,, only the guts are replaced. I had a UUS in my 540i and it was the best thing ever. Each shift just locked in place, nice short throws. I have used others, but since UUC, that is the only one I would use again..... u get what you pay for.
