belt snapped 3 times in a week
posted in my regional forums but looking for input from everyone. how common is this issue on n54 motors? I plan to go to a service advisor but doubt they can help me (08 335 123k miles)
any advice? I know it's a subframe issue rubbing on belt. just need to know my options. |

replace the mounts. But the "real" fix is to replace your subframe with an updated one. My friend had that done... $$$$

I know I wouldn't have paid that to have it fixed and would have done it myself. As for the OP, I'd start with motor mounts and if that doesn't fix it, pull the subframe and grind down on that area for clearance. |
