Pre-LCI paddles shift to LCI Paddle Shift
Okay - I've searched the forums high and low and can't find a definitive answer on how to accomplish this. I first tried the paddles out of the box and they didn't work.
I then re-wired them as per this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...8&postcount=22 Well, the paddles still don't work. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Any thoughts? Here are the paddles I purchased: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-BMW-E90-...870980?vxp=mtr Any help is appreciated!

My bad guys - I should have posted what I did. Here goes:
Assumptions: -Your car is a Pre-LCI and has installed the sport package steering wheel with the chrome push/pull paddle shifters. -Your multi-function buttons are stock (Pre-LCI). -The paddles shifters you are installing are from a LCI and are the pull type with left being downshift and right being upshift. -You are not trying to retrofit the M3 paddles as I believe they are a direct plug and play. To start out with, you will need to follow this guy's DIY on removing the resistors and shorting them. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...8&postcount=22 After that, you need to move the ground wire on the new paddles (can't remember if it's pin 1 or 3 but you can reference your old paddles) to the middle pin. That is really it and it's quite easy to do. I have an extra set of paddles I can modify and sell if anyone is interested. PM me for questions.
