M Performance ECU tuning for X5/6M

Just found out from an insider that M Performance will release ECU tuning for X5/6M. It seems they want to offer what Hamann/Ac Schnitzer and others are offering.

If this is 100% certain i'm not sure yet but i will try to find out more

Uhm, maybe it'll just be a part of competition package they're willing to introduce to the X*M range? Although BMW CPs are nowhere near to what you get from stage-2 or stage-3 tuning... Still rather interesting.

I'm just throwing out some thoughts, but... I'm not sure how well this type of "upgrade" will sit with the owners of X5 M's being that they already shelled out lots of money to get the "M" version, only to find out that BMW M didn't already bring out the motor's full potential as-is. Now, you have to get a performance pack or something to get the most out of the motor/transmission? I wouldn't be happy.

AMG has now a "normal" version and an S version.
M might do it in the same way.

Possibly related to MPG ratings? Not that it should matter to an M purchase but it does seem to matter in practice.

I like how things are progressing. Just keep adding letters and it's the more expensive, faster version. AMGSR, BMW X5 MRSR, Porsche 911 Turbo GTS S S S GT3R, and so on...
