I don't know any reputable shops directly in K-Town but check out IKonic Auto Garage in Silver Lake. The Yelp reviews speak for themselves. I've never been there myself but a couple of guys I know say nothing but great stuff about the shop.

Personally, I take my car into the M Shop in Eagle Rock which comes highly recommended around the forum but it's a little bit out of your way.
