i always give it a week or two before updating to a minor update, major updates , ( 7 to 8) a month or so to let apple figure out every bug.

I've installed 8.2 and Bluetooth seems to be responding better with audio streaming.
Before I would have to switch to radio then Bluetooth before it starts playing. iPhone seems snappier too. Also saw this on my kids iPods. |

There are threads on the Apple forums filled with really pissed off people...hundreds of pages long. All kinds of attempts at fixing it. Apple engineering is/was involved. But strangely, it's not universal. For every one person I know that has the problem, there are 10 more that don't. I mostly got around it by buying a new access point and tweaking typical network settings. Occasionally my ios8 devices lose their mind and exhibit the problem again, but for the most part I fixed it. There are thousands of others who are still struggling. |

Not sure if it's related to 8.2 but today after the upgrade the contacts didn't download anymore on the iDrive. Everything works, but phonebook on the iDrive says "no entries"...

no known issues, updated this morning before heading into the office and BT and USB both worked fine. Used connected apps too.

I ran into one minor issue, which definitely should not affect many people. When using the voice to text entry on the phone (pushing the microphone button to talk what you want the phone to type), it kept cutting out. I used it in the morning and could talk as long as I wanted and it would record everything. After the update, I could only get out about 5 words before it cut me off.
Using Siri through the steering wheel button still works fine. |

My Bluetooth audio doesn't show any connection under the multimedia menu but my phone contacts seem to be fine. Not sure if it's due to the iOS update? Can't get any music to play via Bluetooth

Seems to work fine, nice to have text messages from iOS showing in iDrive now!
(Settings > Bluetooth > BMW XXXXX > Slide notifications to ON)

No problems whatsoever for me. Actually, it resolved the problem of loading messages through iDrive. I used to get the message received icon, but when I checked through iDrive, there would be nothing new. Now it shows the message.

I don't know if this is related to the update because I updated a week ago and my music was fine for 2 days but now I cannot control my playlists via iDrive. I can't go to different songs from the controller...when a song is selected, I checked the phone and "now playing" shows a different song and everything is paused
