Hey guys,
Yesterday we picked up our second i8 from the dealership... Long story short, we phoned a little while ago to talk to our sales guy at BMW West Momentum in Houston asking about how long it'd take to get another i8. He said something like 2 years but he'd see what he could do for us. On Friday (about 3 weeks after telling us he'd see what he could do) Walter DeCesaris, our salesman, phoned us up telling us that he has managed to find another i8 that we could have if we moved quickly. Unfortunately, my father was in Atlanta when he got the phone call! However, Walter managed to secure us the opportunity to still have the car by keeping the store open late for us that night to allow my dad the chance to come in and sign for it! So not only he did manage to get us another i8... 2 years early... he also did everything he could to make sure we got it. Whilst my dad was signing all the papers there were other salesmen coming to check if they could call their customers and Walter's phone was going off with people wanting to get the car... There was a lot of hype around it. However, he managed to keep it for us and my father signed all the documents that evening! Just want to say a massive thanks to Walter DeCesaris at Momentum BMW West off Katy Fwy for sorting all of this out for us - he has been great in the order and delivery stages of both i8s, couldn't have asked for more from him. Not only did he manage to get us this car, he even managed to save us a little money on both cars - something pretty remarkable for the demand of the car. I really encourage people to go ask for him if you're looking for a car in the Houston area, his details are as follow: Walter DeCesaris (281)-224-8929 Momentum BMW West Say that Peter referred you if you do go see him. Here are some photos of both cars together: |

I have the grey but really think the blue is fantastic. I'm sorry I chickened out and didn't order it. I also think the pearl white is a great color, but the three tone rear end gives me some pause.
When BMW was running a fleet of 6 Georgia-plated cars from the Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica through the Santa Monica Mountains during the Spring while promoting the car to various groups, they were all silver. That was the one color I really didn't (and still don't) like.

Double your pleasure
I got a call last week from my back-up BMW dealer asking if I wanted to spec my 2015 car with them. They have two open allocations coming up. I had to advise them that I already took delivery of my car from my primary dealer, back in January. I thought about buying the second car, but then.....thought better of it.

Congrats!! I'm not sure if I like your house better or the 2 i8's parked in front of it.

I reckon the more subtle colour differences on the grey make it seem more 'angry'. I would agree with you on the silver, for sure. I wasn't lucky enough to see six but the one I have seen, a demo car going between dealers, was silver and I did not like it at all! |
