Chit eating grin -- permanently etched!

Ok folks, Day 1 post install.

Installed VRSF CP and catless DPs
Installed ATM (fka Helix brand) stepped FMIC
Installed Cobb V3
New OE plugs
New OE coils

Kudos to Tiago -- my indy tech said the installs went flawlessly of the VRSF parts -- though he butchered an O2 sensor removing it so of course charged me for a replacement.

ATM unit went in smoothly, though they said they did have to trim some trimming though they admitted it just made it easier and likely wasn't 'required'.

It definitely has a bit of a bolder (my words) exhaust note and I subjectively believe the tone from under the hood (in the driver's seat) is meaner. I drove it home pre-Cobb so I could get a sense of delta just with the hardware. I was impressed with the responsiveness and aural impact. I didn't feel a HUGE difference, but definitely noted the car felt lighter.

Get home, 20 mins later I have Stage 2 +FMIC - Aggressive.
My 3 primary gauge fields I watched were ECT (coolant), boost and Air temp at Throttle body. A few things I noted -- the coolant stays warm/hot much longer than I anticipated and warms up very quickly once driving begins. I was always skeptical that Auto HVAC was on blower 3 so quickly on cold days....I stand corrected now.

On to the important stuff -- HOLY CHIT, Batman -- I had exactly one punch of the throttle that registered 15.4PSI and all I could do was laugh like a deranged idiot. Why I waited 11 mos to do this I'll never know....nor will I ever go back....FML, there are few things better than the torque in the sub 4000 rpm range when those twins are at full tilt....now I know what crack addiction feels like!

Next step planned was AFE sealed intake.....but now I'm debating protune!

Sorry so long...thanks for listening...I am officially hooked and now am wondering how the hell I can pull off something similar on my wife's N55 equiped E70 X5......

To the vendors from whom I purchased the goods, THANK YOU!!! To those debating, get a tune and get an FMIC!

Decisions decisions....to whom do I protune....

I'm seeing 18psi on that map, but I also have an intake and CP. Not sure if that's makes more boost or not...

I am FBO other than intake so far.....I have yet to go full throttle so peaked at 15.4....assume there is more there. Is that the optimal, daily driver OTS map given the hardware upgrades?

I put about 10,xxx KM's on the car on the map and loved it. I use the linear throttle setting as I find it helps drivability. But I'll be getting protuned in the next month or 2 so it will be even better

+1 for Wedge/Buraq tune. I'm FBO and was running on Stg2 aggressive+FMIC with 93 oct and I was happy and impressed. Then I decided to get a pro tune from Wedge/Buraq and the 1st time I did a 3rd to 4th pull on their base map I was like "Oh shit! Hang on!". I'm still not fully dialed in yet due to the crappy weather we've been having but we are getting close. If you think you have a happy grin now just wait until you get a tune that's tailored to your car. I guarantee you'll shit your pants the 1st time you get on it with the new tune.

Reminds me of my experience. I would highly suggest getting in touch with PTF to dial that beast of yours in. Their tuning and customer service is second to none and I can't be happier with my purchase. Highly recommended!
