Think yourself lucky, it's normally around 10 weeks. Mine took 16 weeks due to the brake shortage

Give them a prod, pop down for a chat, get your face known, works wonders with discounts, free goodies like screen wash etc.

Am going to give them a ring this afternoon to see where things are at, but reading other posts on here I suspect it'll be a week or so before mine goes into production.

I did this and was able to see my production week was 9th March and estimated delivery was 25th March to dealers. Mine was ordered on 19th January so if production/delivery dates accurate then took 7 weeks from order to build and 10 weeks (still debating if this will be accurate) from order to delivery.

James's dates are similar to mine for my F10.
I re-ordered at the end of the 1st week of January with different dealer after cancelling order with first dealer due to them messing me around. Build is starting next week and it's due at dealer around 2 weeks later with delivery to me on 31st. 3 weeks and 6 days to go... not that I'm counting

I got an email from my dealer today, whahoo, it went into production this morning.
I think I took one of the dealers amendable build slots (was probably scheduled for a demo car or the showroom) as I only confirmed the deal around 16th Feb. Dealer was brilliant and sent me a screen shot of the progress page in their system The waits killing me though |

I ordered on the 6th Feb (F31 330d), dealer found the specification I wanted on a car that already had a production slot. Original date for delivery to the dealer was quoted as this week...
The car has been manufactured and has been "at port of exit" since 21st Feb...and the date first slipped to 13/03, found out yesterday that apparently there is a two week backlog in germany due to the number of cars being ordered of the UK. My car should be on a boat this week, and if so will be delivered on 19/03...However may slip by another week if doesn't get on a boat by tomorrow...fingers crossed. I know it is a relatively short wait for a new car...however the date disappearing each time I get close is killing me! Hope some of you are having better luck! |
