Fixed: Newly installed Performance steering wheel won't work

I've bought a V2 Performance Steering wheel with the LED display.

I mounted it today, but it just wont light up. No matter what I press and do, it's dead. The steering wheel buttons work as they should.

The steering wheel has been on display at a dealer, and have never been mounted in a car. I did not get the coil spring cartridge, module and wiring harness, so I've sourced those myself.

Control module PN is 61352212797, which should be the one for V2.

The wiring harness is self made, and I used the schematics in the BMW retrofit pdf thing to make it.

I've checked the coil spring cartridge, and everything's fine there. I've "beeped" all the wires, and they're all connected correctly. I know the module gets power (12V), and I know the CAN low/high is connected as they should (1 & 2 at the blue connector).

Is there anyway to test the display on the steering wheel? Like add power somewhere or anything. Anything else I can try?

I doubt that the control module is faulty, but you never know.

From what I've read that steering wheel monitor only works with a DCT transmission. Haven't heard of a work around to it as yet either.

Thanks, but I'm not sure if I'm following you.

You can get the Performance steering wheel with the LED for cars with manual gearbox aswell (take a look here).

Anyone knows if there are any differences between the steering wheel and/or module for cars with DCT compared to 6MT?

I've been looking at the schematics in the BMW installation instructions:

For me it seems like pin 6 and 5 from the control module (B) to 7 and 9 at the steering wheel socket (C) is +12V and ground for the steering wheel.

When measuring here, I get 0, nothing, zero voltage.

This could indicate that the control module is dead (bought new from BMW), or am I totally wrong?

I've also measured the CAN high/low to 2.4 and 2.6 volts which should be OK.

I found the solution if anyone's wondering.

The schematic in the installation instructions is actually wrong, and that's why I didn't get it to light up.

Negative from battery should be connected to pin 2 on the PSW module according to the diagram, but this is wrong. The correct pin number is 4.

Also negative from PSW module to steering wheel which is from pin 5 on the PSW module is wrong. The correct one here is pin 2.
