What a great day. I go in for a scheduled check and was informed that BMW will be replacing my HPFP for the second time. They have made a new batch that should be a lot better then the original replacement.

How recent is this newer version?
Are they replacing your previous because it was failing?

The first one was replaced 2010 with about 6k on the car. I currently have 35K on the car and they are replacing it again. I was having some issue with fuel but never received a code for anything so I never bothered having BMW look at it. They also know I have some tunes on the car along with aftermarket parts.

The newer version said came out late last year. I will get a part number and post it once I pick up the car

All I was told it was different from that last install I should have the car back tomorrow or Wednesday. They said they need to put a few miles on the car to make sure the issue is corrected.

i just got a new hpfp on friday. loaded up race flash and filled up with E40 and what do you know? brand new freaking hpfp can't keep up

i just got a new HPFP replaced for the first time at 40k miles due to longer cranks when car was warm. weird huh? idk if this was a coincidence but it started happened after using 30%e85 for 3 months. noticed it right away!

damn e85! i loved you so much but now I'm scared to use you again. back to 91

It's under warranty for 10 yrs or 100k miles at least....so no need to worry
