F22 halogen to angel eye

Desperate to retrofit angel eye bi-xenon to replace the halogen on my 220i. My local mod shop called their supplier in Taiwan and F22 aftermarket xenon headlight is still in production, usually takes 1 to 2 yrs to develop. he's unsure of the waiting time.

Don't want to get H7 white bulb as I want the angel eye effect. Should've gone for the factory fitted xenon I know but they cost $2500 so I let it go! Anyone on the same boat???

Same boat and been doing research for a while. ECS had euro non adaptive Xenons I've been looking at. Just waiting for cheaper inner parts before I take the plunge.

I've been trying to contact some of the mod factories in China, lighting upgrade is huge there. They order genuine parts from BMW China but they are not sure if F22 headlight has come out but they will keep me posted. Also it's LHD there and here in Australia we are RHD.

have you replaced them with the white halogen bulb or are you waiting for angel eye retrofit?

Waiting for whole retrofit. Thinking about piecing together all the parts needed then find a shop to help install

Try looking for headlights at a junkyard? There aren't many 2 series, so it's going to be difficult, but it's a better option than paying retail and retrofitting imo.

Anyone see the OSS Design instagram video showing their new headlight design for all BMW's. Thinking of going this rout, they look awesome.

I am ordering my 228i, not sure if it was for the 220i, but for the 228i, it was just $900 for the Lighting Package which included Xenon headlights and Adaptive Lighting. I figured I just order it from the factory as every retrofit I have seen costs about that much. Only thing that discourages me from it is that the adaptive lighting seems to make upgrading the linkage parts a little more difficult.

Get it from factory if you can. I just so happen to find one with halogen and manual on the dayI decided to buy a car, haha. Bought it and now want halos. Seriously, check the OSS ones out. Sick!

op same boat here too. Been looking for a best way to change out my halogen. I got quoted just a lil over $1400 for retrofit without the angel eyes. I'm thinking about going the OEM route but can't find any good information. If anyone could help point out where to buy the OEM lights with part#, plug and play harness, how to coding, etc..

I don't believe it is possible without some major upgrades. The big problem isn't just the harnesses, but the Xenon Lights have the adaptive lighting which I believe is more difficult to implement.

ECS has non adaptive headlights for the F22. Just need bulbs and ballasts I believe. Still make for an expensive upgrade. Waiting for more to hit the market. F30 has a good thread on this and they are already doing it

Do you know if it will fit into my OEM halogen wire? Any code?

Costly, but full replacement is the way to go imo. If you let someone crack open your headlight housing you can be dealing with moisture in your headlights and you might never get rid of it.

Anyone add OEM Xenon yet? I have seen articles on F30 how to, but not F22/F23. Want to do this also.

Anybody upgraded the halogens to one of the aftermarket HID or LED kits? I'm not sure about the LED ones but they seem easier to install. I'd love to have angel eyes but would be happy with some better light output and color for now.

I've used TheRetrofitSource.com for HID kits in the past and always had good luck.
