Bulb issue. E92 2007 335i

I just noticed this afternoon as I was warming up the car that my right rear tail light was out. No biggie I thought until I checked the dash and it did not tell me there was a bulb outage. This function has happened in the past to alert me to this fact. Any thoughts as to a solution?

I had a bulb out error on dash about 10k miles ago. Bulb was good and still working. Remember reading something a long while back about the tail light bulb holder assemblies having some issues in 07's.

I pulled the bulb, cleaned the contacts and reversed the way the bulb sat in the socket. Havent had a single issue since. A little different than not being told bulb out but im guessing along the lines of similar issue w the housing.

Did you pull the bulb to be sure it is in fact dead?

1+ on above.
Clean the contacts of the harness not the bulbs.
Check for water or rusting on the trunk left and right sides under the battery and under amp if rusty or water.
Then you have a leak from the rear lights.
Gasket needs to be changed.
