Obviously I'm not trying hard enough as I'm always stuck in a f***in convoy of cars doing 40 When I do very occasionally open the taps, on the bit of M-road I drive home on, the wife (who works at the same firm) starts nagging that she doesn't like the car shifting side-to-side at 125 leptons in 4 gear (that could be the Alpha-N chip). I give up. Last edited by mad chemist; 02-16-2015 at 02:53 PM.. |

I have only got 1400 on the clock and I am still putting my foot down all the time I can just to listen to the sound and feel the pull but the computer says a 28ish MPG average which I am very surprised by.
I also tried putting the car in all the softest 'eco' settings on a motorway run and over 30 miles at 70mph it was returning 38.6 mpg which is about the same as my last 3.0 diesel. I have been really impressed so far with the mpg as I haven't been trying to be good or bad with it just been really enjoying my new car and happen to take a look so often at the numbers. PS. remember our American friends have different measurements for mpg so their numbers aren't right unless you convert them to UK gallons.

Yeah just cruising at Mway at 70mph, not including the before and after parts of the journey, I'd say that's perfectly fine? Stated average was 28 which is on the higher side like mine but achievable if there;s a fair bit of commute etc. on mways.

8500 miles on the clock now and averaging 23.6 mpg with a mixture of both city and motorway driving.
Best mpg achieved 32 mpg on a long motorway run to the airport. Pushing it hard and I average around 16 mpg. Still having too much fun to really care what the mpg is!

Yep just as others have said I reset my computer while I was on the motorway and had the car in eco or comfort on every option and just set cruise at 70mph. After about 10 miles the mpg settled down and stayed between 38 and 39 mpg.

I reset mine on fill ups, do 2 long motorway trips and 6 small commutes in town a week.
33 Motorway 19 Town Ends up being around 27 mpg when I check it. Very happy, dont need to worry about it.

I went on a trip from Nashville TN to Seaside FL I did it with the windows all the way down with no air conditioning just for the fun of it and got 34 mpg average half the time I was once sport too. Not trying to get mpg just cruising. But city I’ll get like 16-18 mph. I didn’t have to stop for gas one time I was surprised how good I got
