I've got the free app of this too. Haven't really looked into it much.

What can you actually do with it? Is it just a fault code reader? I've got an elm Bluetooth obd reader so I'm good to go.

No you carry out a fair few codings with it!!

Have a read of their website! (BMWhat.

I have successfully used it for quite a few simple mods. It is never going to replace what the coders use on here, far from it, but if you want a few simple changes to your car (Read the website to see what is possible) and want an easy easy way to do it then this is for you.

But READ the Website, as it has a few stipulations and a lot of forum users seem to have difficulty in using this!!

It can't code though unless it's over a cable, and as I own no Android devices, I'd have to buy one.

As an avid iPhone user i hunted around for a cheap Android, bought one from mate for £40, bought adaptor and cable and App. Yes it cost me near £100 but it really is a good app and i have coded loads of things. Beauty is if i don't like it it can be reversed so easy. Allows you to try different things easily.

Yeah, that's my plan I think. I don't know anyone with an Android device though.

Before you make a change it backsup the module you are coding, so if needs be you can revert!!

I am not an expert, just a user, but i think the Android offers more coding options. I am an iPhone avid user, but bought a VERY cheap android phone to run their App on as it offers more coding.

Best read the website. This link shows you exactly what can be coded for the E9x.

New to this whatapp thing.

Looking to buy a cable. My car is late 2006 model Will the bluetooth device work or is it cable only and can I code with the cable?

Can a total novice who's never code, be able to read errors and code simple things like mirrors and chirp with this app using my android phone?

Thanks guys.

Short answer is "If i can code with this, any fecker can" I am scared stiff of bricking a module, but this is like....EASY!!

Personally, and if you have some spare cash as it does cost more, would go for the cabled option. I am in IT and when ever we firmware upgrade a switch or Router we NEVER do it wirelessly we always use a cable connection.

Don't get me wrong it can be done and plenty of people on here use the bluetooth option, but me........would not like to lose connection midway through a coding session!

Just me, but safe is better!
