Yes. I used Alex at AlpineMSS. He was incredibly fast and did everything I wanted done and more. His website is http://www.alpinemss.com/product_p/FXX.htm

E-SYS link tool - $30 on ebay.
Unlock code - $30.

All other information is free. As long as you have a windows laptop, you should be fine.

I also used Alex's services, and highly recommend him. I'll be using him again when my M235i arrives in a few weeks. I wrote a pretty detailed review of his service here: http://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1012592

Honestly, it is cheap and easy to do. If anyone is around the PNW area, I am more than willing to do coding on F22s, as I did my own. Charge? Maybe fuel and a Diet Dew? Doing it at home was fun to learn and the threads on here have good walk throughs.

Bad news on coding

Looks like coding is going to be more difficult soon. I had my car recently flashed by the dealer and it wipedout my coding. The newest programs from BMW lock out coding. Alex was able to revert back several modules to older versions that don't have the code blocking and was able to code my car again.

How long reverting will last is another questions.

Seems like BMW doesn't want people changing their coding any more. A sad day.

Not really... If they really wanted that there are much easier ways to achieve it... this is just a side effect, of them trying to reduce the size of the files used to store the coding data...

Would it wipe a VO change? or just an FDL/individual changes (video in motion)? Would this happen with regular service?

if you wrote the modified VO to the car then when they reprogram, the machine will use the VO stored in the car and thus will program the car with the modified VO and your change will stay....

if you didn't write the VO to the car and just VO coded the Ecu's then the VO change will be wiped...

any FDL coding will get wiped out if they do a flash on the car....

Flashing takes time so they don't do it as regular service...only if you complain say you can't get your phone to connect or something...they will always try to update the software to the latest and see if it fixes it

I also just had Alex custom code my 228 and 428. It is great to have all those goodies working the way I want! He is fast, polite and quite competent. He will send a list and talks over the cell phone while coding offering other options.

I used my own eithernet to obdc2 cable. If you live in this area you may borrow mine, or get one from Alex.
