Once in a while my car likes to throw the exhaust Vanos code and goes into limp mode with reduced power (turbos basically disable). I know it's a pretty easy fix to clean or replace however my car comes with a "lifetime warranty" from the dealer I purchased it. It covers power train drivetrain and drive systems and lubricated parts only nothing from wear and tear. Is this something that could be covered under warranty?

I'd assume you'd have to ask them. We don't know the small print of your "lifetime warranty" and what that warranty included

The problem is they don't even know what the hell an exhaust Vanos is. It's a jeep Chrysler dodge dealer and they need to pull a code to find out what it is and if it's not something covered under warranty and I have to pay them for a diagnostic despite knowing the code. I'll post the warranty and maybe someone a little more familiar can chime in if the exhaust Vanos is something that can be claimed.

Jeep dealer you know the warranty covers in a bmw dealer too.
you can take it to any bmw dealership

Unfortunately it doesn't, it's not one of the warranties I paid extra for. All their new and used cars have it and in order for the warranty to be valid all service needs to be done at that dealer.
