I have a 35i, so this is a general question: -can BMW see if the engine has been tampered with - even if removed att service? Burgertuning claims that BMW can not detect that their box - if removed - has been installed. I am not convinced,

Personally I dont like the whole idea of a box..... Unless it's from BMW themselves or AC Schnitzer which is approved by BMW. Therefore I am seriously considering the BR Performance method with new software in the ECU, totally un detectable unless you put it on a rolling road...

I am convinced that BMW can detect if the software has been changed in the ECU.

Anybody with experience with the MaxChip Pro? Seems easy to install and remove and not really expensive....

Any thoughts?

Here reworked toward F26 30D.

Only took the most relevant once... external modules, easy to install and remove. I can not imagine this can be seen by BMW if taken out before service.

Any comments? Seriously consider one....
