Same model year car?

Different injectors--switched over sometime around the LCI.
Went from stupid-ass-expensive piezo injectors to just-ripoff-level-expensive solenoid injectors post LCI.

If anything, prices "should" have dropped, due to the rising dollar against the euro.

Sounds suspicious, you should be able to get a set of six for under $1k (I just replaced mine 6-7 months ago)

Looks like prices have gone up a bit. I paid $148 in May of last year, they've gone up to $221 per injector at getbmwparts.com (free shipping).

Just checked my model's injector price.
Jeez, Over $1600 for a set of six at getbmw....

My car's only worth something like $12k now....

EDIT: Oh wait, read the wrong column. It's about $1300 for a set of six.

Anyone know if it's possible to get injectors rebuilt or something?

I have an extra 6 sitting around, but I don't know if they're any good or not.

It is possible to rebuild an injector. I'm sure it's dependent on overall condition. I looked it up once and it was pretty affordable.

Edit: if you do find someone in your area, they should test the injectors prior to doing any work.

You can get them cleaned out by a speciality shop. I guess it all depends what's wrong with them to start with on if they are worth anything.

I think it is possible and if you search somebody have done it, but it costs like $80+ so it wasn't worth it for me when injectors were like $133, but I see now they are like 205$ (wtf!).

Here is how much I paid in October 2014 at tomkinsonbmw website:

13538616079 INJECTOR 3 $0.00 $133.53 $400.59
13537564751 BUFFER 3 $0.00 $4.89 $14.67

Total $438.02

The only reason I can think of why injector prices went up is because there is a huge demand. In other words injectors are failing left and right as miles get higher for 335i. What a POS design!

Autopartsexpress has them for $148. I got them from the same site a while ago for $98 a piece. These are new Bmw injectors in a Standard Motor Products box.

Hm. There may actually be nothing wrong with them. My original motor failed, so I got a motor from a totaled car. We put my original injectors in that motor since we didn't know the condition of the motor from the salvage car.

What type of shop does this. Not even quite sure what to google, the only site I found said they don't do direct injectors
