St Coilovers or BC Racing??
Hi everyone,
I have an 09 328i sedan. Just wondering if I should get St's or BC racing coils? I'm leaning towards the St coil overs because of the 5 year warranty. But the BC racing coils come with front and rear camber kits. So I'm a little confused which to go with. I wouldn't mind looking at a springs/strut combo, but prefer coils because of adjustability. Thanks in advance. |

How does the BC come with a camber kit on the rear? You get front camber plates, but the rear you'd still need to get camber arms if you want to adjust it. Front camber plates will cost you ~$300 to buy them on their own.
Having said that, I run BC's on my other car (Infiniti FX) and have had them for the last 4 years or so. No issues, no rebuilds, no leaks. BC is a good budget coilover. I have V3's on my 335i, but if I were looking for something ~$1K, I'd go BC. |

Any coilover that doesnt come with front camber plates is garbage in my opinion...
ps: No coilovers have rear camber adjustments.. it's completely separate suspension component. but your lucky. they are only like $100 bucks on ebay...or $140 from some other brands... dont worry they won't snap.. i run them on my E93 M3 and I drift and race.. so unless you have a 800whp swap you will be fine. ' BC coilovers are decent entry coils. but I would look at spring upgrades(Swift/Hyperco asap, if you start going very low on the factory BC springs. the ride will start loosing comfort and handling)

BCs for the camber plates alone. Plus they're great quality for the price. I ran them on both of my G35 coupes and I'm about to replace my STs on my 335i with BCs. As mentioned above, there are no camber plates for the rear. You can max out your stock camber arms at -3 but if you want hire you will need camber arms for anything more than that.

Yeah, BC's are undersprung if you go low. I had to replace the springs on my FX w/ higher rate BC ones when I dropped as low as it would allow. At the time, there wasn't a Swift option so I went with what was available.

thanks everyone. I don't want to slam my car, living in Canada. Just want to get rid of the wheel gap. So, when I lower the car will I need to adjust the rear camber? Or will it be fine?

Yea, I'm going with 18k fronts and 24k rears. As stiff as I can go for my upcoming setup. Some serious pokage.

Kw would be the way to go. I have st's and they aren't bad for daily driving but would probably go a different route next time. I've never gone with bc but hear they are good. If you have the extra money go with a kW series.
