Dinan Parts - Where to buy online for best price?

So, I have never bought Dinan parts and I want to get the springs/bump stops before summer.

Where is the best price online? Or are we pretty restricted to just Dinancars.com?

Thanks!

Call Dinan. You might be able to get a 15% discount. I did (springs, bump stops and exhaust).

Thanks. Did you use a discount from BMW CCA, 2Addicts, or just negotiate it?

I just asked for the 15% discount because that was what Dinan offered during a sale they had previously.

same here i ordered tune/springs bump stops/exhaust.

I would find a dealer in your area and negotiate the labor price as part of the part order. I don't think it would be worth while to buy the parts and then take them to be installed. This is assuming you are not doing the work yourself.

Won't be doing it myself, but I won't take it to a Dinan dealer either. Hearing claims of $1200 install fees compared to a typical $300 for any other springs.

For reference, i paid $450 for install and alignment. The shop i used (West End Alignment) is a highly respected suspension shop here in the L.A. area.

300 for installing springs and alignment? That's insanely cheap! If thats the case then go your route. Good luck. So far I'm very happy with the parts I bought. The only thing that I'm a little disappointed in is the time Dinan is taking to make more performance parts for this car.

One last question: are you buying dinan to maintain the warranty? I only ask because I was under the impression that if you wanted to receive the points and stay within warranty an authorized dealer would have to do the install. I know that when my car was worked on by an authorized dealer all of my info went to Dinan (VIN).

Yes they do... the car sits a tad lower feeling planted (very practical for the street) and the body roll is much less.

That is why I want the Dinan, not necessarily for the warranty. Springs are cheap to come by. I think the H&R goes a little bit too low in the front for me, but both spring sets are the same in the rear.

I will hit up the local Dinan dealer tomorrow. Going to see what kind of deal they can give me on the springs and install. If I don't like it, will just order them online and find a tuning shop.

Yup - he actually sold Dinan years ago, but just recently decided to leave entirely for the Ford racing team, iirc.

To be honest I'm not buying Steve Dinan I'm buying parts that make my car perform better while retaining some kind of warranty. If that continues from them I will buy more in the future
