Spacers on stock wheels

I have a 2011 335i w sport package, 19 inch wheels. I'll be getting the Michelin PSS in a few weeks or so, and want to clean up the rims and put in some spacers. One shot, and done. Without out any cute do a search comments, is there a common set of sizes for people that will go with stock tire size? 225/35 R19 front, 255/30 R19 rear.

Depends on personal preference, so the easiest way is to put a ruler next to the top of your tire, and see where you want it to go. I have 12mm front, 15mm rear on my pre-LCI 335i, and the only thing I regret is not going bigger on the rear. Front is perfectly flush with the fender, but I could have gone with 18mm definitely, maybe 20mm.

I highly recommend these spacers, whichever size you go with: http://www.burgertuning.com/BMW_wheel_spacers.html

12mm front and 18mm is perfect, the most common setup for standard wheels

Im running 12mm in the front and 15mm in the back and I think it looks great, How ever I'm not sure how the 15mm would work if lowered

I've got 18mm in the back, and it does touch ever so slightly if I have a full car, i'm on M-sport suspension. Sometimes it can depend on brand and width of the tyre.

Yeah so I havent had any rub with my Sport suspension. Gonna be installing coilovers tomorrow so I will update on how the 15mm fits. Might end up throwing the 12 on the back

Anyone have a before/after shot of their setup? Preferably not dropped too much. I am planning on purchasing a set of the OEM 18" BWM 313 wheels and trying to get an idea of which, if any, spacers I might install.

my buddy is about to give me his 15mm for the rears but im thinking of 18-20mm for the rears and 15mm for the fronts.. Is that too much you guys think? im on stock 18" 162's with sport suspension..

I've read on here and elsewhere that on stock 18's and sport suspension that you can get away with 20mm rears w/o rubbing issues.. as the guy above said does anyone have pics?

Here's mine on 18mm rear and 12mm front. I could get away with 15mm front but 18 is the most I can go on rear. No before pics.

18mm rears look really good man! I want a slight poke, something over flush in the rears. I think I may go 15mm fr and 18mm rear just to avoid any issues. Thanks for posting a pic man!

I have 12 in the front with no problems whatsoever. Tried 18mm rear with 18" 313 style wheels on stock sport suspension and Michelin PSS. Big dips rub on passenger side even with just me in the car. Will likely have to have the shop shave them down to 15 or under.

sounds like 12 in front and 15 mm in rear would do fine without any issues

I would go 15 all around. Or 12 in the back. The front with 15 is great on my car, but 15 in the back rubs ever so slightly, and that's when I'm on 18s. On 19s they rub a lot more. If you do 18mm in the back with 19" wheels, you will definitely need to roll your fenders.

From what I gather here 12 up front, with 18 out back looks the best. But there may be rubbing, which requires fender rolling. Do I have that right?

If nec, how much will this fender roll set me back?

I'm running BMW performance 269 19" wheels. Brigstone rft tires. Car is lowered on h&r sport springs. Without fender rolling 15mm spacers in front and 12mm spacers in rear. I still get a little rub on the rear on really hard bumps or dips in road but not enough to cause any issues. The front is perfect. No issues at all.

I do think every car is different. I have 82k miles on mine so maybe a spring sags a couple of millimeters. Who knows?
