Keeping Steering Wheel Clean

Curious what some of you are using to keep the wheel looking new? Specifically I want to clean while maintaining the matte look of the leather.

Thanks,

I've used Chemical Guys pH balanced leather cleaner along with their conditioner. It leaves the wheel looking new and retains the matte finish.

Usually take a microfiber towel to it, and you'll be able to see the dirt coming off onto the towel if it's dirty enough. I don't typically have that issue due to me keeping my car clean every week.

As Vectors2final mentioned, most leather cleaners/conditioners will get the job done. Apply leather cleaner to a microfiber towel and scrub the wheel, and you'll be surprised at how much dirt comes off.

Pretty obvious, but I found that washing your hands before driving really helps reduce dirt build-up on the wheel.

Not to mention eating food as well.

The longer your intervals, the more likely that the pores of the leather will start to collect grease and dirt and over time will look greasy and nasty looking.

With good habits, I've managed to keep my wheels in previous cars looking as good as new.

Thank you Gents. I ritualistically wash my hands right before getting in the car, and def. no food or drinks get near the interior. I've also managed to keep previous wheels looking new, but they have been textures, and had sheen. This smooth matte finish is gorgeous, but i was hesitant to use a leather cleaner/conditioner as they tends to leave a shine. Appreciate the Chemical Guys tip!

Any all purpose cleaner will do this. Just a small ammount though!

On all of my cars, when I'm wiping down the interior with a damp, wrung out microfiber towel, I just use it to also wipe down the steering wheel - more vigorous than a wipe but not really scrubbing. That's it. Keeps the steering wheel clean, non-slippery, and matte finished.
