2015 m4 castrol European 0w-30?!

Hello all, we have had the f10 m5 for a
Few years now and always use castrol edge 0w-30 in place of the bmw branded oil

We now have the new 2015 m4, would this use the same? I have heard 0w-40 somewhere but wanted to ensure??

Car goes in for 1200 mile first service tomorrow and I have 12 quarts of the castrol edge 0w-30 ready to go

If not correct I can go with bmw oil first round then switch it up

Thank you all in advance

Didn't you get a free quart in the trunk in the little black bag that Velcros to the side of the trunk? Use the same as that one.

5w-30 or 0w-30 BMW long life.
BMW has changed to Shell as its supplier through base oil from the Qatar Pearl GTL plant.

I believe BMW has changed to a new SHELL formulation, no longer Castrol and in the M cars, it's it's showing M TwinPower Turbo 0W-40 Engine Oil - 1 L

here is the BMW part number: 83212365945

See correction above. It's 0W-40!
