2011 N55 335 stutter and stall
Apologize for not searching, didn't see the function on the app.
My E90 with 40,000 miles began a new trick over the last month. When idling at a traffic light and when warm the revs will dip to 500rpm or so, idle rough and return to normal. It'll only happen once during a trip. A couple of days ago it stalled completely. It have experienced occasional long cranks for the past couple of years and mentioned it at services but they haven't proposed a fuel pump replacement. Is this likely the fuel pump or gunk in fuel filter?

I've read of a number of different things that could cause this around these forums. They include:
-HPFP / LPFP -Fuel injectors -Coil packs -Spark Plugs I had an issue with long cranks as well and it turned out to be the HPFP. I didn't have any of the other symptoms you mentioned though. I've had no issues since the HPFP got replaced in my car. I've started it in negative temps outside after the car's sat out all day with no problems aside from the slightly longer crank due to the cold, but nothing near as bad as it was before the pump got replaced. If you think it could be gunk in the fuel filter or elsewhere, try picking up a fuel system cleaner and see if that improves the situation. Lot of people here seem to like Techron. Here's the thread I posted documenting my issue, just in case it might help: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1057804 Good luck! Keep us posted!
