MAP sensor going bad?
Just noticed on the way home tonight my Cobb monitor shows my air temp at the throtle inlet peaked at 11K degrees F! Obviously this is not correct and the only sensor before the throtle body that I can see is the TMAP sensor so I'm wondering if my sensor is on the way out. Perhaps the sensor is sending faulty readings to the DME thus causing my LTFT to be much leaner on bank 2 vs. bank 1?
Just speculating here.... unless there is another sensor inside the throtle body itself that measures the intake temps. Does anybody know where the Cobb is getting the temp readings from?

Other than the cobb reading, any other symptoms?
Perhaps you can use a torque app to see what it reads. Do you have a obd bluetooth adapter? Cleaning the tmap is an option but i wouldnt trust the cobb reading yet.

I do have a BT adapter that I use with my BMWhat app that I can probably use but my biggest concern is the lean readings on bank 2 and whether that could be trace to a faulty TMAP and why would it only affect bank 2.

My Jb4 app reads -17 degrees and doesn't move sometimes. Checked IAT's with BMWhat and it was fine. Guess its a glitch in the Jb4 app. Could be the same problem your having or similar

No codes?
See what bmwhat reads. Like i said you can use this to clean the tmap sensor, if that helps. Looks like yours is a newer car mine is 2007 and the tmap sensor is fine.

My car is still under warranty so if I can prove the TMAP is bad and replicate the readings then perhaps BMW will cover it although I do have an ER CP so they might say that I damaged the sensor during the swap. I have had the CP since Oct of last year so if the sensor was damaged during the swap it wouldn't have took this long for it to manifest itself right? Is there a voltage or resistance test that I can do to see if the TMAP is good?

Agreed. I doubt your tmap is bad, but if you think so, just buy one or try cleaning. How can you damage while swapping anyway? Did you drop it? Not worth trusting the dealer for anything. Some guy was selling one in the classifieds.

If the lean condition continues to exist then I'm sure the CEL will be coming on soon.
