BMW Remote v3.1.2
BMW released an update to their BMW Remote iOS app today that restores online search for MY 2013 and earlier vehicles. I tried it this morning and the search functionality has been restored.

The only useful thing the BMW Remote app does is allow you to send addresses. At least for me. I'm glad to see the functionality is no longer broken. HOWEVER...
Why can't BMW set up the Remote app as a transit app, so that from Apple Maps, you could push your search/address to the app and send it to the car? It's such a clumsy system. I've taken the time to reverse engineer the OAuth and JSON connections back and forth from the phone to their server. It's actually a fairly simple system. I unfortunately lack the programming skills yet to build my own iOS implementation. I'd be willing to share the information with someone that could possibly use it. |

I noticed that I can also now activate parked car/auxiliary ventilation on my 2014 335 with the Remote app! Hopefully BMW won't remove this feature before summer rolls around.
