Tail Light Issue

The left outer light bar on my 2007 328i convertible isn't working. I have tried to replace the bulb and the bulb holder and nothing seems to be working. The turn signal light and the brake light work perfectly fine, its just the left part of the taillight. A mechanic has also looked at the wiring and says it is fine. Anyone know what options I have to fix this problem?

Not sure some information may help, but i ran into something similar on mine, except mine was only the bulb, even though it didnt look bad or broken.
