If anyone is going to get turbocharging right though it surely has to be Ferrari.

Suspect it will mean prices on the N/A cars start to creep up though, particularly the Scuderia and Speciale, as the last of the sonorous engines

I don't doubt that it'll be faster

and like the Cali T it'll be mapped so it revs higher and more NA response

but visually not as pretty and as you said, not as sonorous

It looks like the modern version of the 288 GTO, which was a 308 GTS with the turbo engine that later became the power unit for the F40. Hopefully history repeating itself.

Ah - I was going just on the OP's implication that there was no V8. Perhaps he just meant the turbos would mute it.

The addition of Turbos to a Ferrari is nothing new. People forget the F40 was turbo charged. Maybe the 3rd exhaust pipe on the 488 will actually serve a purpose? Screamer pipe!

I've been in a F40 then later that same day 458

458 sounded better and went better

will see it in reals, obviously won't let us drive

but there is one in Maranello
