Suzuka,
Did you have to remove the carbon center console trim first, as it shows on one of the fitting guide vids ?, thankyou, Simon.

PS, Did you fit the gear selector as well ?, is it as easy as the fitting video shows ?, sorry for all the Qs, thankyou.

I fitted both myself, the gear selector using the below guide. Total install time was 15mins including unpacking the box for both items!

Gear selector; http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1028324

The DCT surround was even easier. No I did not follow the iND guide, this guide is OTT and not required.

All you have to do is use the usual plastic pry tools and easy up the black plastic surround (its attached the silver surround) and the whole unit pops up.

This is then replaces with the Alcantara piece attached to the CF surround.

Done

BMW for the DCT surround. Circa £180 I think.

Gear selector was not BMW. Another company, not a vendor on the forum so I cannot openly say.... sorry but they are currently releasing several CF parts for the M3/M4 soon to be available

DCT surround is genuine ///M.

Gear selector is produced from another composite manufacture. "Replica" does not do the item(s) justice. The quality is in line with OEM and some 30% cheaper...

Just awaiting the gear selector surround piece and then I have rid the interior of the silver trim and thus complete (interior wise anyway)
The carbon looks awesome. As a non-BMW product, how does the look and quality of the weave compare to the rest of the carbon in the interior?

To be honest you wouldn't even know its wasn't OEM carbon.

Fit, finish and quality of the carbon itself is identical to the OEM items within the car. I'm very happy with the result
