Very low volume output
Does anyone else have to crank the stereo do get some decent volume?
Wether I'm playing audio via Bluetooth or USB, I have to turn it up well past half volume to play 'loud'. I have my iPhone 6 set to full output, so it's not that. Thanks |

What about CD or radio sources? If you have to crank the volume close to around 80-90% to get a respectable loud for anything...you're probably just running into the common complaint about the OEM system. Start reading through the many many active threads about upgrading the system.

I just started having this problem yesterday after a year of bluetooth volume equal to radio source. I was adjusting volume of iphone music lower when I activated Siri in the car. Both Siri and music volume dropped but when I raised volume only Siri voice got louder. There must be a way to adjust individual source inputs just like I can with my E46 HK radio.

OK I am a moron. I posted recently that I used to have fine volume while playing iPhone through bluetooth. Today I was messing with the phone itself because it wasn't showing playlists or playing songs. I usually have to jumpstart it by hitting play on the iphone. Anyway, I noticed the iphone volume was less than halfway in the app. DUHHHHHHH.
All I had to do was put the volume back to full. There are two volumes when using bluetooth! Your BMW and your phone. I bet this is the problem for a lot people.

I have the same issue: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...php?p=18670819
I tried USB-connected iPod Nano yesterday with the same results. Switching from Nano to FM makes me deaf. So now i tried IOS8, iPhone 6 and iPhone 5, and iPod. Not sure if i need to do anything else to rule out device-issues... |
