I love my bmw
Reading all these negative threads about bmw made me start this appreciation thread.
It was snowing in Texas this past week(yes, you are not reading it wrong it was really snowing in Texas) so i had to drive to work in my gf's PT cruiser for couple of days. Also drove my friends ford expedition to work for one day. So today finally weather was good and I was able to drive my car again.... Wow, it reminded me why i bought it in the first place. Feel of the steering wheel, no noise, handling, even music sounded better. And then the best part about it, when i stepped on it getting on the highway. SEX. That's it. |

I'm in on this topic - I flat out love my little E93, after three years - wait, that's *four years* - now of wedded bliss.
All cars break down and all cars take your money, but very few cars drive as sweet as this one. Last edited by M-Steep; 02-04-2015 at 06:39 PM.. |

I still love my car too Ever since I got a downpipe, I don't think I've driven a single time with my windows up. The exhaust sound of the N55 is like music to me. I love doing quick pulls and feeling that torque

I've only owned my 335i since November 3rd 2014 but still every morning I walk out to goto work, I'm like "yeahhhh thats my shittt!" and even if something does break, big whoop it's a car, aren't parts made to break?

OP I feel you (Not on the PT cruiser part tho). I took a trip recently to ATL from NY and I tell it was beautiful drive. Then I had to drive an Audi, A merc, a RAM and dear I say it I felt disconnected from my car driving all three vehicles. I took mini drives in my car just to go to the store at times!
I recently ditched run flats as well and it is a huge difference positively where comfort and drivability is concerned.

Next new thread is going to be called "I LOVE MY RUN FLATS" lmao..!! j/k but seriously though, I hear it really is a night/day difference.. I may have to go buy some Michelin Pilot SS's, although I do like the other more fancy tires with their unique tread patterns haha..!

If you've got a solid wheel setup go with the PSS's but if your on a temp solution like I am go with the Sumitomo HTR Z III's it's cheaper and the reviews are actually not bad at all both on here and else where.. Some have reported 35k miles of life.. not bad for $496.00... |

All in on this topic!
I bought my 328i 2007 used in October, so a few months ago. It had 80 something Km (50 something k miles), and all I did was change the spark plugs and air filter. Took it on a trip in December just before christmas from home to Las Vegas, going over 7000 Km (over 4000 miles) in 11 days, coming back for the new year's. Changed the oil, and all is good. We passed through mountains, snow, ice, hot surfaces with winter tires. I have complete trust in this car, and sure it is not the infamous 335 (which, by the storytelling, makes it sound very scary to own), and love driving it everyday, all the time, whenever, wherever. Averaged 30 MPG on this trip by the way. |

Couldn't agree more. Been driving a loaner 328 for 2 months while my 335 was being fixed. Got the 335 back last night, and today's drive to work reminded me why I got the car. 3rd gear pull on the highway onramp was all I needed...
