Crazy side effects after FDL coding

So everytime I FDL code anything in FEM_Body, my driver mirror is pointing down and my door lock settings are reverted to one door unlock. Is this normal?
Also after coding turn signals, rear fogs wouldn't work...hmm, no problem, went back to FDL code NSL active. Ahh! Rear fogs working again.
This morning I'm heading to work, turn on my anti-dazzle....you guessed it, gone.
So I went back into FEM_Body and C_HBA wasn't active anymore....what the??
Can someone explain?

I have a feeling you're hitting Code (even though if you did that none of your custom coding should work but its my best guess) and not Code FDL. Read out the module you want to edit, make all the changes you want at once (anti dazzle, mirror folding, etc) and then save it and hit Code FDL.

I accidently 'coded' a couple days ago, but have FDL coded since.
1. Change coding
2. Save
3. FDL code
Mirror points down and random crap reverts to factory settings.

After you save and go back by clicking the green arrow button, are you highlighting the CAFD file you are trying to make changes to before you hit code FDL?

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Right-Click on the ECU CAFD and select Read Coding Data => Expand the CAFD Folder by clicking + symbol => Right-Click on the CAFD file and select Edit => Edit CAFD as desired => Click the Blue Floppy Disc Icon to Save CAFD => Click the green back arrow icon => Right-Click on the CAFD file => Select FDL CODE.

I have been experiencing the same thing, so I think it's normal when you FDL code the FEM_Body.

I know its normal for HU_NBT to lose presets but normally the FEM doesn't lose settings, but I always hit the M and then 1 button before coding it just in case.

Maybe shawnsheridan can chime in.

Coding NBT wipes button presets for sure. I don't think I have ever seen the mirror tilt, but this could be a new thing in FEM. And I'm sure what constitutes "random crap", so I can't comment specifically on it.

Besides the mirrors, the driver seating position reverts to a 'default' setting and you need to reprogram the seat and side mirrors.

Very strange. I am far from being an experienced coder but none of these things happen when I make changes to FEM_BODY. As mentioned previously I SAVE, select green back arrow, activate FDL, select the exact module, then select CODE FDL. Maybe I am just lucky??

It only started doing it for me after I updated the firmware using PSDZDATA set 54.2 and made changes afterwards.

You can always export your profile to a USB stick and import it back right after coding and you don't lose setting...
