OEM toolkit
Greetings,
I purchased my 2014 228i CPO in December, and honestly this is the first car I've ever purchased from a dealer or CPO. I noticed in the trunk is a simple leatherette pouch - I'm wondering if I was supposed to receive something besides the tow hook in this pouch, as there appears to be spots for a few other tools, or if I there are any recommended 'must-have' tools to have on the go with this car. Thanks! |

In the E9X coupe and sedan, the battery cover in the trunk doubles as a tool tray. As I recall, my sedan came equipped only with a reversible screwdriver and tow hook. My coupe had the tow hook only. The rest were purchased from Penske Parts. The correct tools for your model may be similar.
From left to right (with part numbers and approximate prices): Emergency Operation Crank (Glass Roof) 54107199321 $2.30 Open End Spanner Wrench - 10X13 71111182747 $6.19 Screwdriver (Reversible) 71111179629 $5.39 Towing Hinge (Tow Hook) 72157070643 $27.60 At bottom-left is a space for a Locking Lug Nut Key if your car is equipped with wheel locks. |
