Does the F30 328i xDrive not have Bluetooth audio?
I was playing around on my phone and car and just couldn't get the Bluetooth audio to work. When I click multimedia it only shows me USB or aux.... |

Go to Main Menu, telephone, Bluetooth Devices to begin pairing. Add new device.

Only with iPhone tho. I have the option and the market leader (Android) is totally ignored. Big fail by BMW.

in canada "standard" bluetooth is just pairing your phone and using it with phone calls and such. extended bluetooth is audio, office etc... all the things that bmw does to scam canada |

Bluetooth Audio was not a standard feature on the BMW 3 Series until the 2014 model year.
For all 3 Series 2013 and prior, Bluetooth Audio was an option available in various packages and standalones, namely the Technology Package or the Enhanced Bluetooth option for the F30. If the OP just purchased a CPO 2012 F30 and it does not have either of those options, he does not have Bluetooth Audio and cannot stream music. If he owns a 2014 model and forward, he needs to play with his settings on both iDrive and the iPhone to get it to work. |

Additionally, one cannot plug the phone into the USB port and stream audio via Bluetooth at the same time. iDrive favors the USB connection and disconnects Bluetooth by default when plugged in to the armrest port. |

work around which I used for a bit until I hard wired it (charge/audio out to the aux-in port); you can buy a USB/BT audio receiver. Just plug into the USB port and run the audio into the aux-in port. Although you do not get to see the audio details on the iDrive.
there are BT 3.0 products with better audio, but this a cheaper BT2.0 http://www.amazon.com/KKmoon-Wireles...audio+receiver I have a MY13 F30. My dad just picked up a MY14 F30 and it does NOT have BT audio standard also. You have to order the NAV to get it for MY14. |

ok so new question I'm new to this whole coding thing; who do I contact and how do I get it done? Dealership? 3rd party? I'm in the Toronto area and would prefer to have someone do it in the west end of the city. |
