NBT Firmware Update

Hi,
I've got a 2013 F31 with NBT installed and I was wondering how I could get the latest firmware for the whole stuff.
Do dealers update firmwares like that?

thanks for your answers
Have a nice weekend

This is not the NBT firmware update the OP is asking about.

If you tell the dealer that you are having problem connecting your phone with the car, and that you are unable to install the latest ConnectedDrive update on bmw.com/update, the dealer may help you update the firmware. However, if you plan on doing some coding, i suggest not going the dealer route. The latest firmware from BMW makes it difficult to do FDL coding.

How so?

I'm curious since I was going to have it updated later this month.

Some modules in version 54.2 and 54.3 of PSdZData are trimmed, so you won't be able to do any FDL coding on those modules.

I'm going to get my car updated Saturday so I'll be one those walking the fine line. Someone told me they have working 54.3 FEM and HU_NBT files. Plus worst case I could inject older CAFD. I had my other car updated about a month ago and I had 0 issues coding any modules with 54.2. I believe you need to have a newer car with newer modules for the new "coding blocking" to work.

Please let us know! FEM and REM are two modules that I'm concerned about, need them to disable LED flickering.

I'm surprised there isnt a thread about this in the Coding forum.

Sitting in the dealership now, have my coding laptop with me so I'll plug in as soon as I'm done here.

Cool! I'll request an I-Step update when I get my wheels aligned.

Did you mention anything special or "symptoms" to get them to update? Was it covered under warranty?

Yes it was covered, I explained that I could not update to the latest Bluetooth update because the Integration level was too old and that there is a bug that makes it so that you cannot update the bluetooth unless you are on the newest I-level. Also doesn't hurt that I tip my advisor and the tech each time I go in.

Good question.

Would it shown a "minutes remaining to destination" timer? So basic yet huge missing feature in the NBT...
