Front and rear center jack points on 435i Gran Coupe
Anyone have a location to jack the front and rear center of the car. Need to put the car on jack stands.
Is it the rear point the rear diff? Pretty sure I can see the front point but confirmation would be nice. |

The rear jack point is where the cross braces come together and meet. It is just aft of the diff. Can't miss it. The front was a little more tricky to locate. Ramps help immensely. If you do not have ramps then jack your car using the front/side jack points and drop it down on a few 2x8's (need at least 6" off the ground to see where you need to put the jack) Anyway, once car is off the ground in the front you will see the large cloth cover. Towards the rear center of the cover is the drop down door to drain the oil. Just in front of the cut out for the drop down door is a hole and a flattened portion of cloth. That is the front center jack point. I am sending a very shitty picture of the door dropped down and the hole in front. Center your jack on the hole and you are good to go. |

The front jack point can be seen in the middle of the car from underneath it will look like a square pad, it is a bit lower the the plastic under body guard.
As for the rear the jack point it is again in the middle of the car right before the rear differential, it is a black cross member that is towards the top of the rear differential. its about an inch to an inch and 1/2 thick. Do not lift the car from the rear differential as you can risk cracking the casing. Hope this helps w/o pics. Last edited by 1987E30M3; 02-27-2015 at 02:35 PM.. |
