Garage List
Is this fashion or vandalism?

Seen on a rather tasty 14-reg M4:

In my mind, this is just tasteless ruin of a very desirable car - but maybe I'm just old-fashioned.

Nice car and nice wheels but that's just poor taste or bad work in choosing offset or spacers.

It just doesn't look very good, especially with that wheel arch gap.

I can't think Why would somebody think it looks good, even if you'd bought the wrong offset you would even fit them.

I'm actually hoping his original wheels got nicked or had a fault and these have been fitted while waiting for replacements.

Please god let that be the case, otherwise we must intervene and remove the car from his possession.

Aaaaah that is well wik-kid innit....Bruv.

Looks like he is also going for the stretched tyre look (putting a smaller width tyre on a wide rim). A very dangerous practice as a loss of pressure means the tyre is likely to want to come off the bead of the rim and flail around.

The yanks seem to like things slammed, so I think they'd be horrified at the wheel arch gap on this!

I promise you it wasn't me! I'd never have diesel convertible either.

I think you're supposed to widen the arches when you widen the track!

You're quite right. Didn't even appreciate the gap, disgusted and amazed as I was at the kerbing!

I fitted spacers to mine, however the wheels are not supposed to be sitting outside of the wheel arch, mine are perfectly level. Doesn't look like he has spacers fitted so I guess they are just oversized alloys. The tyres look like they only just about fit, I have seen this before, it's called tyre stretching, you basically fit tyres to a much wider rim than it is intended for, supposed to allow you to fit wide alloys without the tyre itself sitting outside of the wheel arch, clearly this is very dodgy due to risk of blowouts or sudden deflation.

Not an M4. Side air vent thingy is wrong. And the ride height...?

Although it explains why the wheels are ripped to pieces. The car's in the middle of the road and the wheels are on the curb. Ridiculous.
