Press and hold voice command button and Android

I have read that I can press and hold the Voice command button to activate the Google Now feature of my Android. The only command I am able to use is "Call..." . I have read other posts where people are able to use all Google Now commands like "Text...", etc.

I have a 2015 car and a Samsung Note 3.

I haven't found a way to do this natively yet, but usingBT Now seems to work OK. Just be sure to have the input from bluetooth headset option selected, or it won't always pick up your request.
