What does it mean when CA says we can config. the car?

Does that mean that I have a specific allocation? I am #2 at my dealership and he says that we can "at this point, we can pick how you want it to be built".

If so, what time frame am I looking at for a build date and delivery?

It seems like he knows when and which car i will configure. Is that right?

You should ask him that, but generally, the dealers receive allocations that have a preconfigured car specified as to color and options. The dealer can accept this and have it built to those specs, or alter the specs to suit them or for an individual buyer in their DCS electronic order system. They cannot configure a car in the system they don't have an allocation for.

When they do this it turns into a real "order" and then goes through a series of order status steps which I have listed following. The first one that means anything to you is 111, then 112. At 150 the order is locked and no further changes can be made becuase it is within a couple weeks of production and the parts are being brought in. From allocation available until production may be in the order of 6 weeks, plus or minus. Actual production takes only about a week.

057 - Spec. not released - available quota
087 - Order not released for production
097 - Transmission to AG, confirmation pending
102 - Special request order received
105 - No production week available
111 - Order accepted at AG
112 - Scheduled for production
150 - Production started
151 - Entry to body shop - VIN assigned
152 - Entry to paint shop
153 - Entry to assembly
154 - Assembly
155 - Assembly finish / quality check

there are additional codes as the vehicle is shipped.

Thanks very much. I plan to select my options as soon as possible to push the process along.
