Thanks to those who responded to my issue with insbility to uninstall Cobb in prep for a dealer visit. Your advice worked perfectly. Now the question: My 335is running stage1 sport showed a max boost of 14.6psi. How might that compare with stock? Appreciate your replies.

wouldn't your AP allow you to meter your boost, after flashing back to stock ?

Stock boost is around 7-8 psi. I think. Don't quote me on that lol.

Peak boost isn't what you should focus on here, it's all down low and well within the compressor's efficiency. Look at the taper up top, that's what is protecting your turbos, but is also a root cause behind the car falling on its' face north of 4K revs.
What do you do about it? Now that's a good question But yes, stock N54s make around 8-9 pounds down low, I don't recall what the taper looks like.

Don't forget the overboost feature on the IS will raise that for a short time. Mike Last edited by Mike@N54Tuning.com; 01-11-2015 at 02:23 PM.. |

Peak overboost on the IS seems to range 11-14psi depending on the cars/conditions and it's shut off around 4500-5000RPM. Mine peaked about 12psi IIRC, and no, you can't log on AP with the OEM bin (overboost logic) loaded.
