Anyone else having this problem with Bluetooth?
Let's say I am streaming music off my iPhone using bluetooth in my car and I walk out the car let's say to go to a deli to buy something and then came back into my car, of course the bluetooth will be disconnected, my question is: Does it reconnect by itself? If so, how long does it take to get reconnected? Or do I have to reconnect manually?
TIA. |

Hi,
I always keep bluetooth On on my blackberry Z10 and it connects automatically every time i start my car . If i leave my car and come back, all bluetooth services reconnects automatically (I've got S609 Nav CIC with Combox) It should be the same with you. |

Bluetooth connectivity depends on if you got the corned beef or the pastrami in the deli. 😉
It should connect after several seconds. I carry two phones - iPhone and Android. Both have BT turned on always. Both connect automatically every time I get in the car. You might try unpairing and repairing again. |

Yes, it does automatically reconnect. You pair the device to your car once, and it will attempt to connect to the phone every time you start the car. With iOS8, it's a hit or miss on the connection. It'll connect 90% of the time. I sometimes switch to music I have stored on the car's HDD, then switch the media to Bluetooth in the car, and it connects quickly. This never happened with iOS7 - it just connected 100% of the time.
Not sure why iOS8 doesn't play well with CIC, and I have tried this on a iPhone 5S and a iPhone 6.

Another piece of the puzzle is if you have synced more than one device. Currently I have 3 (My IPHone - #1; Wife's IPhone -#2; and an older IPhone that I use as a audio book device that is plugged into the console connector. This last device does NOT have a SIMM card).
Problem sometimes comes as the audio (which was left in the console and is plugged in as "Media") device sometimes will also take over if I exit the car and take my IPhone with me. Upon reentering the vehicle, if I then try to make a phone call, the car system sometimes tries to make the "failed call" via the non-simm audio book/old IPhone device. Tain't a biggie, but it might also impact on others who fall into the same trap. So when I reenter the car, If I did not pull the plug on the audio device, I check my IPhone to ensure that Bluetooth on that device is still connected. If so, no worries. If not, then a reconnect before driving off. |
