Anyone have a warning triangle?

Every European car I have owned in the last 20 years has had a warning triangle in the trunk. Except my M235i, that is. It seems that the depression in the truck lid is taylor made for a folded triangle. I can't seem to find anything listed in the various vendors online parts listings. Has anyone fitted a warning triangle?

Thanks. Sometime I would love to see a picture so I can see what bracketry is used to hold it in. Is it in an orange rectangular plastic box?

Also missing is a first aid kit, I haven't seen any German cars without one before either.

The warning triangle and first aid kits are part of Euro equipment but not included for the US.

If you get a Euro Delivery car you will get both and can pull them out of the car, but if you don't they'll be taken out during shipping never to be seen again.

Warning triangles and first aid kits aren't mandated by US DOT. Therefore they aren't included on US cars as a cost saving measure. You can purchase them after the fact, or do a euro delivery and get them for free.

After a string of Audi's, where these two items come standard, it's a disappointment.

Would love to get a part number for the triangle. The first aid kit I have...leftover from an Audi, of course.

The car is in my garage. Can I still get euro delivery? I'll need to calculate return postage! 😀

I ordered a US specs car from foreign military/diplomatic sales for Bahrain delivery. Glad they did not take the warning triangle and first aid kits out. Or, they may have pulled it out but Euro Motors in Bahrain might have put it back during the PDC.

Problem solved. I had an extra triangle from a previous car so I attched it using heavy duty Velcro strips that I simply attached using the existing mounting screws in the trunk. Everything fits perfectly within the recessed space. It's quite solid with no movement at all. Very happy with the no-cost results!

Not sure if the US delivery cars already have the self-tapping screws and expanding nuts, but I've included those as well. I was lucky enough to still have the brackets attached when my car was redelivered.

+1.

Brought the triangle and safety kit home in carry-on (minus the scissors).

Seems silly but it's so inconsistent. I will keep my warning triangle and brackets when I return this car. Those are mine.

I took the brackets out of the car when I dropped it at the airport in Munich after hearing about these going missing on forums. Too bad they took yours - it seems silly to remove brackets but who knows the reason why...
