Been in contact with the BMW guy at aFe. They have a new F30 exhaust in the works, so I asked him about an F34 one. He said "we are working a re-design exhaust for the F30. When completed, if it will be easy to make it work on the F34. Please check back in a few weeks". I think he's foreign, so his English isn't perfect, but you can get the point.

I'll check with him around the end of the month and see what the deal is at that time.

I will. I'm also planning on pushing for a 4" inlet downpipe for the 7/13-current N55 cars.

Supersprint is stupidly expensive. I could have a custom exhaust mandrel bent for a fraction of what they charge.

10-14hp for nearly $3k? Please. For $3,000 I could make, ultra conservatively, an extra 75hp. Probably significantly more since that pays for a piggyback ($530), intake ($230), catted downpipe ($650), intercooler ($800) and turbo upgrade ($800).

I guess that the price for an exhaust for my 320D is much less, and I live in EU so shipping is also cheaper. I was quoted about $800 in august. I'm still considering it
There's not very much out there for F34 320D

Yeah, it must be cheaper there. They really overcharge us.

$1760 for the muffler (with dual tips. Quad tips is $1999)
$710 for the mid pipe
$620 for the front pipe

Thats $3090 for just the catback. If you want a catted downpipe to go with it, thats $2175 more.

I just can't see spending that much for something that does so little, especially when I can replicate the results for a fraction of the cost.

I haven't forgotten about this. I sent an email last week about it. Haven't heard back. I also have inquiries in with MagnaFlow and Flowmaster. MF should be cake since they already have a kit for the F30/F32. Its a little pricier than I'd like though and not thrilled with the sound.

EDIT: Just hit up Borla too. Their Type S exhaust sounds the best to me, so for now, I'm gonna push them the hardest.

Don't worry, I'm not doing anything yet. I'm planning on moving soon and can't be blowing money on mods. Afterwards though, balls to the wall.
