Dinan 335i re-flash upon dealer delivery?

I recently placed my order for a 335i coupe and am very interested in the Dinan re-flash. Should I wait for the break-in period to be complete, or is it safe to re-flash the ECU upon delivery with ~10 miles on the car? Thanks in advance!

I was thinking along those lines as well. However, after reading about people experiencing more refined as well as aggressive characteristics post install, don't you think it might be better to just install it right away? Seating the rings properly and getting the engine's components broken in with the additional power sounds like a good idea to me. Seeing that the 4 yr/50k warranty remains intact, this sounds like the way to go. Anyone have experience installing a procede/juice box/dinan re-flash with very low miles? Encountered any problems?

i would just do it. these are modern engines. you don't even really need to break them in much less worry about an additional 60 or so HP. just follow the same "rules" that you normally would.

Only '07 335's can be reflashed by a dealer. '08 models require the ECU to be shipped (overnight or longer) to Dinan for the reflash

That's not a big deal for me, I'll just have the dealer hold onto the car for the couple days the ECU is away, then pick it up once it has been re-installed. In regards to the post about suggesting I wait to feel the difference, I've been able to drive the car a few times so I have a pretty good butt dyno figure going into the whole thing. Maybe I'll take one of the 335i's on the dealer lot out for a spin before transitioning to mine.

After talking with the Dinan guys at my dealership, they recommend a 1200 mile break-in before re-flashing the ECU.
