OK. Now that I have my winter tyres on my 368M's (18" ), see also pictures, I am looking for proper summer wheels.

I was thinking 310M, not only because they are 20", but also because the back size is wider then the front ( front 8,5J x 20 ET38 and rear 10J x 20 ET51). Assuming X3 wheels fit also on X4....

Any thoughts or remarks or other suggestions? Would appreciate...
Anybody with any experience with those 310M's? Good or bad.....

Go for the 310:s!
I have them as my summertires, they will transform your vehicle to be even nicer. I also have a Carbon Black M.
There is a slight drawback with increased sensitivity for uneven roads, but I don`t think it is as bad in Belgium as i Sweden.

In the spring I will install H&R lowering springs - they can be bought on the Net from Germany for EURO 160. Installation, however, is expensive,

310's are lovely but stay away from Run Flats.... Changed mine after 300klms to Vredestein Ultrac Vorti. Huge improvement in ride comfort and handling.
Alternatively AC Schnitzer offer some really nice wheels also.

I had limited time to drive on my 310:s before shifting to wintertires, but I had no real problem. I have adaptive dampers, and driving on "sport", the ride is a bit harsh, but to my mind fully acceptable.
It is very probable, that non-runflats have better comfort -that is a logic consequence of runflats - but I would be surprised if BMW has approved a tire, where all other criteria e.g. noise, wet handling, dry handling, braking in wet, braking in dry and steer-in is no-good.

All in all- I accept your opinion that the Vredesteins have better performance in some respects - but I question if it is worth wile to change.

My problem is I bought a demo 30d MSport which does not have adaptive dampers. In my mind ( At least in Ireland) Msport package should include Adaptive Dampers as the car was poor on anything but smooth roads before i changed tyres. It is an issue many people appear to have in UK and Ireland from searching the web. BMW Forum recommended the Vorti's and in my opinion they are safer as the car is far more settled. OK, the Vredesteins seem to be a better tire. I will probably then switch to them, when my current tires need replacement - but not before - I am happy with my Pirelli runflats.

I always switch to non-runflats. The ride is much better. I had 2007 X5 with Msport and the 20" wheels cant remember the name but once I switched to non-runflats it felt like driving on clouds In 15 years I only had once a flat tire and it was due an iron nail..so in regards to safety if you buy new sets you shouldnt be worried about anything.
It all depends on the roads actually. Here in Bulgaria they are not the best so driving with runflats can be pain in the ass sometimes.
