Almost that time of buying tires :)
I'll be needing new tires pretty soon, so I went to my friend tire shop. He gave me a good deal on hankook, but honestly I was a bit disappointed of how little they last me last time, I'm not going to lie great tire, but I had better luck with my falken then I did with hankook. So anyways he told me about this off brand Nankang tire, they looked pretty solid and they were $460 out the door for all 4, but I'm also looking into Kumho tires now, I heard good things about them, good brand tire and they were about $600. I've never had them before, but I'm thinking about giving them a tried. What do you guys think?

Like all things, you often get what you pay for.
Hankook is a very inexpensive tire; I understand that their performance tires are pretty good for the money: 90% of the performance of the best (say Michelin Pilot Sport) for 60% of the price. I have heard that they're not the longest lasting, though. Falken - made in Germany (usually), kind of an off-brand but well made. Kumho (especially the higher-end Ecsta) are well-liked by some BMW owners. They're inexpensive and grip well. None of your selections is close in performance to the top end tires, either the performance end of the spectrum (Michelin PS, Continental ProContact, Bridgestone, etc.) or the longer-wearing all-season or touring tires made by the major manufacturers. Check the reviews and feedback on tirerack.com. Oh, yes. Fix your signature so that wordwrap happens - annoying to have to scrool horizontally to see the entire text. |

Thos Rd all sound cheap. You get what you pay for. I've had kumho, continental, bf goodrich. Bridgestone, etc. Never going back to those. Michelin Pilot Super Sport from now on. I learned my lesson.
Btw, my kumho lasted 12,000 before the tread separated and almost blew. |
